The NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Manual Handling Risk Assessment is intended for individuals responsible for identifying and managing manual handling risks in the workplace. This includes employers, employee representatives, and anyone beginning or enhancing their manual handling risk assessment practices.
Collaboration between NEBOSH and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) – the UK’s Health & Safety Regulator – led to the development of this course.

With topics including:
• Workplace and task design
• Load and environment considerations
• Individual capability and risk perception
• Recording and communicating assessment findings

• Align practices with legal and regulatory standards


A basic understanding of workplace health and safety is recommended. This could be gained through experience or by completing a NEBOSH Certificate-level qualification.
