The qualification is for existing supervisors and managers who have direct responsibility for health and safety in their workplace. It is also suitable for learners who will progress to become a supervisor or manager with responsibility for health and safety.

How long will it take?
Learners who successfully complete this qualification will gain the knowledge to effectively manage health and safety in their workplace. You will understand the legal and moral obligations placed upon businesses to ensure health and safety of employees, contractors, visitors and suppliers. Using the knowledge gained through the qualification you will be able to implement safe working practices in your business.
The qualification is assessed in two parts. Learners must undertake a risk assessment and construct a safe system of work. This is marked by the training centre. The second part of the qualification is a 60-question multiple choice examination. Examinations are available in English and Arabic.
Learners successfully completing this qualification may wish to study further occupational health and safety qualifications at level 4 or 5.
The guided learning hours for this qualification are 40 hours.
