The Level 2 International Award in Control of Substances Hazardous to Health is a qualification designed for workers who may come into contact with hazardous substances in industries such as manufacturing, sanitation, healthcare, transport, and office environments.
This qualification is intended to equip learners with the knowledge, skills, and understanding necessary to recognise the hazards and control measures associated with hazardous substances. The course examines how risk assessments contribute to the secure use of hazardous substances and the effects of exposure to such substances.


This qualification is usually achieved by taking a one-day (5 hours) classroom-based course.
