This qualification is designed for learners who desire to obtain a level 2 international qualification in health and safety.
The purpose of the qualification is to equip candidates with knowledge of essential workplace health and safety practises. The attainment of this certification will enable students to work safely, identify and manage workplace hazards, and be aware of cost-effective, practicable control methods.
This qualification is pertinent to any private or public sector workplace and educates employees about their own safety as well as the safety of customers, contractors, and the general public.


Overview

This qualification is usually achieved by taking a one-day classroom-based course with a minimum contact time of 6 hours, at any Highfield approved international centre. There are no specific age restrictions for this qualification. 

How long will it take me to achieve this qualification?

Learners will sit a 45 minutes multiple-choice examination containing 20 questions and must achieve at least 12 (60%) correct answers to be awarded a Pass. Learners achieving 16 (80%) or more correct answers will be awarded a Distinction.

How is the qualification assessed?

Individuals achieving this qualification can then progress onto any of the Highfield Health and Safety
qualifications such as Highfield Level 3 Award in Health and Safety in the workplace (RQF); Highfield Level 2 International Award in the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) .
