The Highfield Level 1 International Award in Safe Moving and Handling was developed by Highfield, the foremost provider of compliance-based qualifications in the Middle East. The qualification has been developed in collaboration with industry specialists for international students who wish to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to securely transport and manage items. This qualification provides an excellent foundation for international students who desire to pursue additional transportation and handling qualifications.
Overview
The qualification is usually taken as a half-day course at any approved Highfield International centre. There are 4 contact hours required with a tutor.
How long will it take me to achieve this qualification?
There is 1 mandatory unit which is assessed through a combination of practical demonstrations and a 15-question, 30-minute multiple-choice examination. Learners must demonstrate competence in all demonstrations and achieve at least 10 correct answers in the exam to be awarded a Pass. Learners achieving 12 or more correct answers will be awarded a Merit.
How is the qualification assessed?
On completion of this qualification, learners may take other Highfield qualifications, such as the Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling (RQF) or Level 2 Award in Moving People Safely (RQF).
